Vendor rules
These are the operational rules for trading at Vybz Market. Read them before you apply — by applying, you confirm you accept them.
1. Applying is not acceptance
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance and does not reserve a stall. The Vybz Market is curated: your application is reviewed by our team, and only approved vendors may trade. Stalls are reserved only once the approved fee has been paid.
2. What your package includes
Your confirmed package, stall details and inclusions are set out in your written approval. Stall dimensions, tent, furniture, power, water, food-preparation facilities, branding rights, storage and any other inclusions depend on the configured package — nothing is included unless it is confirmed in writing.
3. Working staff credentials
Your package includes a set number of approved, named full-access working staff credentials. Additional working staff must be approved, registered and paid for before credentials are issued — extra credentials are never guaranteed. Extra staff must have genuine operational roles at your stall.
4. Naming your staff
Staff names are due 72 hours before the event, unless we configure a different deadline and tell you in writing. Changes after the deadline require our approval.
5. Credentials are personal
Credentials belong to the named individual. They cannot be sold, lent, shared or transferred. If a credential holder is replaced, the previous credential must be revoked before a new one is issued.
6. Food, drink and regulated goods
Food and beverage vendors must meet the food-safety and licensing requirements that apply to their products, and must operate within the facilities confirmed in their package. The sale of regulated goods is subject to approval and to all applicable Kenyan law.
7. Event-day conduct
Vendors must trade only from their approved stall, keep their area clean and safe, follow instructions from event staff, and comply with all festival site rules. Set-up and pack-down windows will be communicated to approved vendors in advance.
8. Payments and cancellation
Payments, deadlines and the cancellation and refund policy are set out in your vendor terms at the time of approval and in the application. Please read them carefully before paying any fee.
9. Removal
We may refuse or withdraw a stall, or remove a vendor from the event, where these rules are broken, where required information is misleading, or where continuing would be unsafe — and fees may be forfeited as set out in the vendor terms.
