These Terms and Conditions apply to the VYBZ Fest website, the VYBZ Fest event, ticket-related information, competitions, corporate enquiries and merchandise reservations. VYBZ Fest is promoted by The Hype Group Limited (“we”, “us” or the “Promoter”). By using this website, buying or holding a ticket, entering a competition, making an enquiry or reserving merchandise, you agree to these terms.
1. Event information
VYBZ Fest is scheduled for 27 March 2027 in Nairobi, Kenya. The venue, running times, programme, performers, stages, attractions and facilities may change where reasonably necessary. Announced artists and schedules are not guaranteed, and a change to the line-up or performance time does not by itself entitle a ticket holder to a refund.
2. Tickets and payment
- Public ticket purchases are completed through Tickoz, an independent ticketing and payment provider. Its terms and privacy policy also apply to the transaction.
- This website does not collect or process payment-card details for ticket purchases.
- You are responsible for checking your ticket category, event details and contact information before completing a purchase.
- A ticket may be refused, cancelled or invalidated where it is counterfeit, duplicated, obtained fraudulently, resold contrary to an applicable restriction, or otherwise invalid.
- Keep your ticket and its code secure. We are not responsible for loss caused by sharing or exposing a ticket code.
3. Refunds, postponement and cancellation
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable for change of mind, inability to attend, transport disruption, weather, artist or programme changes, late arrival, refusal of entry for breach of these terms, or removal from the event.
If the event is postponed or moved, a ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled event unless we announce another remedy. If the Promoter cancels the event without rescheduling it, ticket holders may receive the remedy required by applicable Kenyan law. Booking, transaction and service fees charged by a third party may be governed by that provider’s terms and may be non-refundable.
We may make reasonable changes or suspend, relocate, postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, public-health restrictions, government action, security threats, civil disturbance, infrastructure failure, performer unavailability or other force-majeure events.
4. Admission and conduct
- The event is strictly for persons aged 18 and over. We or the venue may request valid proof of age and may refuse entry where age cannot be established.
- There is no re-entry after leaving the event.
- The event takes place rain or shine. Follow all safety, security, queueing and venue instructions.
- We may search attendees and their belongings as a condition of entry, subject to applicable law.
- We may refuse entry or remove anyone who is intoxicated, violent, threatening, unsafe, disruptive, unlawfully present, or in breach of these terms. No refund is due in those circumstances.
Prohibited items include illegal drugs or substances, weapons, outside food or drink (including alcohol), glass containers, professional cameras, audio recorders, drones, fireworks, flares, smoke devices, laser pointers, large bags or backpacks, chairs, oversized umbrellas, tents, skateboards, bicycles, scooters, pets other than registered service animals, and materials for unauthorised vending or flyering.
5. Accessibility and safety
Published accessibility arrangements are subject to operational and safety requirements. Guests who need support should contact the Promoter through the official contact details published on this website before the event where possible. Attendance at a live event carries ordinary risks associated with crowds, loud music, lighting, weather and movement around a venue. You remain responsible for your own belongings and for following reasonable safety instructions.
6. Photography and recording
The event may be photographed, filmed or recorded for security, reporting, archival and promotional purposes. By entering the event, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in crowd footage or images. Where the law requires specific consent for a focused commercial use, we will seek it.
7. EBU GUESS competition
- One headliner guess is permitted per person and per email address before the published closing time.
- Correct entries are ranked by submission time: the first five win a VVIP pair, the next ten win a VIP pair, and the next twenty win one General Admission ticket.
- Entrants must provide accurate contact information and satisfy the event’s 18+ admission rule to use a prize.
- We may verify eligibility, reject duplicate, automated, fraudulent or incomplete entries, and require a winner to respond within the reasonable claim period stated in our notification.
- A prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. If a prize becomes unavailable, we may substitute one of equal or greater value where permitted by law.
- Unclaimed or forfeited prizes may be awarded to the next eligible correct entrant. Our reasonable decision on administration and ranking is final, subject to applicable law.
8. Corporate enquiries and merchandise reservations
A corporate enquiry is not a confirmed booking until the Promoter issues written confirmation and the applicable invoice or agreement is accepted. Merchandise shown on the website is subject to availability. A shop reservation is not an online purchase: payment and pickup are arranged separately with the VYBZ Fest team. We may cancel duplicate, fraudulent or uncollected reservations and correct genuine pricing or stock errors before confirming a transaction.
9. Website use and intellectual property
The VYBZ Fest name, branding, artwork, text, photographs, video and other website content belong to the Promoter or are used with permission. You may use the website for personal, lawful purposes only. You must not copy or exploit its content commercially, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, submit malicious material, impersonate another person or use automated means to abuse forms or competitions.
10. Third-party services
The website links to services we do not control, including ticketing, social-media, video and messaging services. Their availability, content, security and handling of personal information are governed by their own terms. A link does not make us responsible for a third party’s service.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, the Promoter is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of enjoyment, travel or accommodation costs, lost or stolen belongings, third-party acts, or disruption beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for loss you cause through unlawful conduct or a material breach of these terms.
12. Changes, severability and waiver
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the event, website, services or law. The version published when you use a service applies to that use, while ticket-holder rights already acquired remain subject to applicable law. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Before starting court proceedings, the parties will first try in good faith to resolve the dispute directly and, where appropriate, through mediation in Nairobi. If it remains unresolved, the courts of Nairobi, Kenya will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring a claim elsewhere.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms may be sent to support@thevybzfest.com, the official support contact published on this website.
